SCORES @ THE MARDI GRASS 2004
|

The first
Marijuana Music Awards were held at the Mardi Grass 2004 in Nimbin
on the weekend of 1st and 2nd of May and Herb won with 'The Rolling
Hills Of Nimbin' and also got third place with 'I Don't Know About
You But I'm Goin' Hydro'. Herb's songs also came in 8th, 9th,
10th and 11th. Entries were received from several countries including
USA, Canada, England and Australia.
The awards are now an annual event and are run by Tam and Brian
at Rainbow Records in Nimbin. Songwriters should keep an eye out
for next year's awards by going to www.rainbow-records.com

is open to all around the globe who have recorded good songs
referring to Marijuana. Heaps of prizes including Cash, Nim-FM
airplay,

Winners will be announced during the Nimbin Mardi Grass 1 &
2 May 2004.
Closing date for entry: 2 APRIL 2004
Panel of judges include DJs, recording technicians, experienced
musicians & music shop owners.

Potluck, the
long-awaited first movie from High Times magazine opens on the
17th of October 2003. from the executive producer and writer of
"Summer of Sam", Potluck is "a whole new
way to get whacked" and is, as one critic put it, "Cheech

SIGNS RECORD DEAL

Herb has signed
a five year deal with Undercover Music for Potsongs. Published
by Darbalara Music, the CD is on the Rouseabout Label, distributed
by MGM.

HEADS FOR HOLLYWOOD

Great news
for Potsongs this week. Two songs from the CD were chosen for
the soundtrack of "High Times" first feature film POTLUCK.
The tracks chosen were 'Toke By Toke' and 'I Smoked It Once (But
I Didn't Draw Back)". Herb's in the movie business!! Check

Cannabis
Culture Magazine featured Herb's 'The Rolling Hills Of Nimbin'
in an article on the Nimbin Mardi Grass. They used the verses
of the song as headers for each section. Potsongs and CC Mag were
the first ever outside sponsors for the Mardi Grass in the year
